Old or not so old?

These photos were sent to us by Sybil Patterson. Sybil tells us:

My late husband David Boyce’s family lived in the avenue when the floods occurred…my father in law found this bell at the point and it has been in my possession since 1960..I was wondering if it has any significance to the history of Canvey..I am putting photos its only 2and 1/2 inches high..it seems to me it wasn’t factory made. Hope it is of interest to you. Thanks
