I noticed that in the first advert for Fielder Estate, it mentions Thorny Bay. I have only ever known this as Thorney Bay?

On lots of the early 20th century maps it was Thorny Bay without the ‘e’. The creek there was Thorny Creek. When or why an ‘e’ was added I don’t know. But definitely Thorny for the first half of the 1900s.
