Licences 1930s

Dog licenses were abolished in 1987 but they still only cost the same as shown here (7s 6p) or rather the equivalent in new pence of 37.5p.

Wireless licences cost 10s when they were introduced in 1923. In 1946 they were included in the £2 TV licence, then exempt in 1971.

These are examples from the 1930s for the Adams family who lived on Canvey Island.
