Views of the new seawall.

This seawall was built after the 1953 flood.

In the first view there is the very new looking seawall. The Labworth cafe can also be seen behind the seawall. Now the Labworth is in front of the seawall because the wall was re-built in the 1970’s.

On the horizon you can see the oil storage tanks which were and still are situated at the bottom of Haven Road, although now they contain gas.

To the right of the Labworth is the Bay Country Club. The smaller buildings include the old Welcome Hut.

In the second view the picture was taken with The Labworth Cafe behind the photographer. The sloping path up to the seawall is still in the same place although now it’s a lot steeper because the 1970’s rebuilt wall is a lot higher.
