The first card shows the landing stage from where holiday makers to take a boat trip out to the Chapman Lighthouse and back again.
The two scenes on the next card show the seawall pre 1953 and the pool which meant that the water could be enjoyed even when the tide was out.
The third card is postmarked September 1909 and was sent to Clapham Junction. The message reads: Thursday – left home at 10 a.m. yesterday. Train arrived here at 1.30. Of course I came by bike. Send me a card to Vine Cottage, C.I. Essex. Weather divine here. Am returning on Monday next. Love from Ted
