We will be there even when we are not

At the Transport Museum

This week members of the Canvey Community Archive were invited to the Canvey Island Transport Museum to have a look at the renovation work.

The archive has agreed to have a base at the museum when it re-opens properly sometime next year. We have been offered a corner of the ground floor for a permanent display so that we can be there even when we are not.

This is where our ladies are standing in the photo. It does not look much at the moment but we are very excited about the prospect of having this area as society reopens again. We are also working towards a closer co-operation between the archive and the transport museum who have supported us since we started in 2008.
