A group of Canvey youngsters brought the curtain up on a musical offering guaranteed to have the audience crying for more – the actors did. Pupils at Furtherwick Park school, Canvey staged their version of Lionel Bart’s hit musical Oliver. As our picture shows the Artful Dodger played by Arran Harding, 14, Fagin by Richard Crosby, 15, Nancy by Sarah Bowers, 15 and Oliver by Tony Dudbridge, 12, were hoping the audience considered themselves at home for the school’s latest spectacular.
